Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making a booking. By proceeding to pay a deposit/booking fee you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. Pricing: All pricing is exclusive of a blow-dry (unless that is what you have specifically booked for). ELLA JEAN will provide adequate information on how the hair should be prepared prior to (on the day) styling. If this is not adhered to, the client will be charged for an additional blow-dry. All pricing is subject to change unless a final quote has been given, the booking fee has been paid and the contract has been signed.
2. Bridal Trials: Trials are held at my home studio. Trial costs are included in your package. Trials are held Monday – Thursday. Trials cover one look, your dream wedding hair and/or makeup. If you would like to cover two looks this would be charged as double.
3. Booking Deposit: To secure your wedding date, a signed contract is required with a $500 booking fee due at the time of signing. Your booking fee will be deducted from the final balance. The booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes, but not limited to, situation where the booking and/or wedding is cancelled due to personal relationship breakdown, financial, family situation and unforeseen circumstances including but not limed to: health pandemics, change in regulations, health warnings, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures. Please be advised that if the contract is not signed and/or the booking fee has not been paid, then your wedding date is not confirmed and locked in.
4. Contracted services: As ELLA JEAN books out the specific time and date for yourself and bridal party, books assistants (if necessary) and doesn’t take any other bookings during this time, after the contact is signed and the booking deposit is paid there may be no reduction in our packages. This includes, but not limited to, situations where the booking and/or wedding is amended due to personal relationship breakdowns, financial, family situations and unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to: health pandemics, change to regulations, health warnings, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures.
5. Start Time: Please see above summary regarding start time. This start time is flexible in conjunction with wedding schedule.
6. Early call time: If the call time starts prior to 6am a $70 fee will be charged for every hour prior to 6am.
7. Assistant Fee: For bridal parties of 7 people or more an assistant fee is charged at $400.
8. Minimum add on fee: There is a minimum booking fee of $1000 for bridal bookings. When the total cost of services doesn’t reach the minimum booking fee, the gap is then charged. This can be used as a credit for other styling services.
9. Exclusivity clause: The client agrees that ELLA JEAN has the sole and exclusive right to provide hair and or makeup styling to the bride and her bridesmaids on the wedding day in line with the selected package.
10. Satisfaction: Client satisfaction is of upmost importance however may not exceed alotted timeslot. Verbal agreeance is thereby confirming the client is happy with the services performed. If the client is unhappy with the styling provided, they must raise their concern whilst ELLA JEAN is still on location and it will be rectified. Any additional services outside of the wedding day schedule will be at the discretion of the stylist.
11. Cancelation policy: Trials – cancelling or rescheduling of trials requires 48 hours notice.
Wedding Date – There is a 3 day grace period prior to the contract being signed. After this period if the client decides to cancel the booking or any service on the day the deposit will not be refunded or transferred. Cancelling of weddings requires 120 days’ notice. Failure to notify ELLA JEAN prior to 120 days, will result in payment being due in full. Failure to pay the full balance due will result in a final letter of demand which will be emailed to the address supplied. If after seven days of the letter being sent, full payment has not been made, ELLA JEAN will pursue legal action to retrieve those funds. All legal fees will be at the expense of the client. All bookings fees are strictly non-refundable or non-transferable regardless of the reason given. The booking fee is to cover administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your booking.
In the unlikely event that ELLA JEAN is unable to attend the clients booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency or any other circumstance beyond her control, the artist will endeavour to find a replacement. However, finding a replacement is not guaranteed. The client will receive a full refund of the money paid, less the trial cost ($400 Hair and Makeup or $200 Hair OR Makeup).
12. Reschedule/Postponements: If you choose to reschedule or postpone your wedding, you will be subject to new pricing.
13. COVID 19: Enforced cancellations due to government regulations (lockdown) will result in the bride receiving a full refund minus the booking fee. The booking fee will be credited to a future date. If ELLA JEAN is unavailable for the new date, then the booking fee is forfeited as the booking fee is non-refundable.
14. Location requirements: The location of where the services are to be performed is up to the client, however there are some services we require in order to work. These include, easily accessible access to power, a work space with a large table, chairs, and ample lighting.
15. Parking: Parking at the getting ready location must be provided for any artist booked at ELLA JEAN. The client agrees to cover the stylist’s parking costs. If this is at a hotel, this can be billed to the room and is an additional cost and NOT included in the package.
16. Travel fees: Travel fees are included in the packages for the locations stated on ELLA JEAN website under the package name. Locations further than this will be charged an additional travel fee. Travel fee is calculated at $100 per hour to and from the wedding destination per artist. Venues further than a 2 hour drive from Southern Highlands private accommodation will be charged at $250 per artist per night.
17. Liability: By signing this contract, the client removes the hairstylist/makeup artist from any personal responsibility if there should be any damages incurred to the client and/or bridesmaids or any other party member due to sensitivity or allergic reaction from products used during services
18. Hired Items: Any borrowed items such has extensions or hair pieces must be returned within 4 days after the date of wedding in the supplied express post bag. Adequate padding and packaging must be used to ensure there are no damage to the goods when returning in the post. A late fee of $15/day will be applied from the 5th day if goods are not returned. If the items are not returned after 14 days the items will be considered unreturned. Unreturned extensions with incur a $250 fee and hair pieces with be charged as the RRP as per the brands website. Payment will be due immediately and invoice will be emailed to the supplied email.
19. Payment: Final payment of the balance is due 7 days prior to in one payment – no exceptions. Acceptable form of payment is currently bank transfer, and is the responsibility of the individual who signed the booking contract.
20. Images: To keep up to date and to develop our business the client allows ELLA JEAN to contact the Photographer on the day and allow access to images. These images will be used for promotional and marketing purposes on social media and webpages. Please let us know if you do not wish to be photographed. We are happy to be photographed on the wedding day, however we require that images used for marketing purposes on the internet to credit “Ella Jean Hair and Makeup” or tag @ellajeanhairandmakeup.
21. Respect: The client agrees to provide a respectful working environment for our team. Any form of verbal abuse will result in work ceased immediately.
